Clif Bar and BikeDenver are pleased to honor Jones Lang LaSalle as October’s Bicycle Friendly Business of the Month. The Bicycle Friendly Business of the Month recognition program, launched in July 2009, builds upon the initial success of BikeDenver’s Bicycle Friendly Business (BFB) Program in recognizing businesses, organizations and workplaces that are leading the way to make bicycling an easy and accepted form of transportation in Denver. Since partnering in July to launch the awards program, Clif Bar and BikeDenver have recognized Watercourse Restaurant, Historic Denver’s Story Trek and the Downtown Denver Business Improvement District.
October honoree Jones Lang LaSalle recognizes bicycle commuting as an important means of reducing the environmental impact of their properties. At all of their Downtown Denver properties, Jones Lang LaSalle has made investments to encourage tenants to ride their bicycles to work. This includes the installation of secure bicycle parking, showers and locker rooms. Jones Lang LaSalle also participates in Bike To Work Day each year, setting up snack stations and providing additional bicycle parking on that day.
“As the industry leader in energy and environmental sustainability, Jones Lang LaSalle supports bicycle riding”, says Connie O’Murray, Vice President of Jones Lang LaSalle, “because it’s good for the environment, good for our community and good for our health. Overall, it’s just good business.”
