City Planner Gideon Berger will present a PowerPoint presentation on Denver’s Living Streets Initiative at our May 14 meeting at 6pm.  The meeting will be held in the 2nd floor conference room of the Alliance Center (1536 Wynkoop Street) and is open to the public and anyone interested in learning more about bicycling in Denver.

On Friday May 15, you can also catch a free screening of the PBS documentary Blueprint America: Road to the Future and join a discussion about living streets in our region. The latest program in the PBS multi-platform initiative on America’s aging infrastructure, Blueprint America: Road to the Future examines the growth and development of the American city. The documentary goes to three cities – Denver, Portland, and New York – to see the road each took to their present-day landscapes. Host Miles O’Brien examines the steps our country must take to keep our nation competitive in a global economy, while addressing the realities of climate change, diminishing natural resources and population growth.
