So if you haven’t heard yet, Freewheelin’ is a gigantic success, and has beaten our most optimistic expectations on its popularity. If you haven’t tried it out yet, we will be running it through Thursday at 7 PM, so stop by one of the seven downtown Freewheelin’ stations, and grab a bike. If you need directions to the nearest stations, just ask anyone on a bike with green Freewheelin’ labels all over it.
Meanwhile, here’s a great webvideo that explains the project well.

Hey, does anyone know where I can see the final stats for Freewheelin? How many miles? What was the carbon offset? Maybe the calorie count?
I loved it and can’t wait to see how Denver implements her program!

The latest stats that I’m aware of:
5552 rides
26,416 miles ridden
818,899 calories burned
9.2 metric tons of carbon emissions reduced
This is fantastic, considering that the goal for the DNC and RNC conventions COMBINED was 6,000 rides and 25,000 miles! I’m wondering if the stats will change at all once the RNC is over and Humana takes a closer look at the numbers…
