Why are you or aren’t you biking to work? Biking is healthy, it prevents air pollution, and it can even save you money (filled your tank recently?). So why aren’t you biking to work? Need more bike paths? Different policies from your employer? Government sponsorship or policies? Or are you just a couch potato? If you ARE biking, tell us about your route and experiences!

I have recently started biking at least one way to or from work. I use RTD for the non bike leg of my journey. This has been a big committment for me, and quite frankly, it’s not an easy one, it’s 23 miles one way. I work at DIA. Bike access at the airport is non-existent. There are NO bike racks, yes, Pena has a bike lane (shoulder of the road that isn’t too bad) but as you approach the airport, bike signs dwindle and it is difficult to know where they are really taking the bike lane. This is confusing for cyclists and drivers alike. The state of the bike routes to get to Pena are another story. Not very friendly at all. Why isn’t Tower Rd a bike rt?, or chambers, or I could go on. Rts are good for a mile or two, then as you approach a commercial area they seem to dwindle. Isn’t this where they should be more prevalant?
