We love getting out there and helping more people get on bikes! Whether you’re new in town, starting to ride more regularly, or an old hand at this two-wheeling stuff, we’ve got great ways to get connected, get involved, and get out on your bike! Lend a hand by volunteering, or just come on out and join the fun. You’ll be helping to increase the number of people who ride a bike in Denver, improve bike culture, reinforce share-the-road courtesies and spread the word about the many benefits of living in a bike-friendly community. It’s easy to volunteer!
At BikeDenver, we rely on the thousands of volunteer hours provided by great people like you who give a few hours of their time to help us produce over 50 bike-related events that serve the public each year. You and your friends can sign up today to help us park bikes, staff events that support our efforts, and get involved in other cool volunteer opportunities. Signing up is easy, just follow the volunteer sign up link and provide your contact information and availability. We’ll take it from there!
2012 BIKE EVENTS:
We get involved in bike events because they are a great way to encourage people to bike more, create a positive climate and culture for bicycling and bring people together to celebrate the many benefits of bicycling! Some of these events also support our work to improve bike facilities, bike laws & policy that make Denver more bike-friendly, so when you sign up to volunteer, you’re helping fund the advocacy work we do in your community. Here’s the lineup:

2012 BIKE RIDES:
We like to take a little spin around town to celebrate the changing of the seasons here in Denver, because every season is a great season to ride a bike in Denver! Our solstice rides are open to the public, and they are slow, casual rides that start and finish somewhere fun where can enjoy a post-ride social. Our rides are family-friendly and we obey all traffic laws.

2012 COMMUNITY BIKE PARKING:
Our Community Bike Parking Service provides free VIP bicycle parking at Denver events and festivals. We park bikes because providing convenient bike parking encourages more people to ride, brings bicyclists together in one place, and makes bicycles more visible in the community.
In 2012, we’ll help provide convenient bike parking for event-goers on 35 days that will help park more than 12,000 bikes at events with a combined estimated attendance of over 1.6 million. That’s no small feat, and we couldn’t do it without great people like YOU who lend a few hours to help us staff event bike-parking corrals. So if you’ve got some time to give back, sign up for a shift or two today!
